While mental performance and mental health have some overlaps, I do not offer services for clinical mental health counseling or diagnoses (e.g., depression, general anxiety, eating disorders).
Individual sessions involve working one-on-one to enhance mental skills and overall well-being, specific to the client's concerns or needs. Each client receives a free 20-minute consultation before starting sessions. The first session will include an intake assessment and discussion about what the client wishes to focus on for mental performance. The consultant will then create a plan to grow and enhance the client's mental skill(s).
Examples:
Group or team sessions involve working with the group/team to enhance mental skills and overall well-being, specific to the group/team's concerns or needs. Each group/team receives a free 20-minute consultation before starting sessions. In the free consultation, the client (i.e., coach, manager, or organization) will discuss the desired wants and needs of the team/group’s mental skills and interests. All groups/teams have the option for the mental performance consultant to attend practices, competitions, or work environments to observe. Observations allow the consultant to learn more about the group/team and their mental performance.
Team Contracts are also available. This includes a full commitment to a team's athletic season (i.e., fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons). These contracts are negotiable depending on the coach or manager's needs and interests. They may include sessions for the team, individuals, and groups, as well as observations.
